Great, comforting words for all who believe and trust in Jesus for the salvation of their souls.  These words are often heard at funerals, understandably so.  What may be less known are the words that come immediately before these words of comfort.  At the end of John’s 13th chapter we read the account of Jesus telling Peter the news that he would deny knowing Jesus three times before the rooster crowed.

Great news of comfort comes to Peter, the disciples, and to us today for the many times we’ve denied the Son of God.  In God’s grace, He prepares a place for sinners who believe.
