“Come, follow me, “ Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”  Matthew 4:19

There is a greater purpose in life than just fishing to eat/live day to day.  It is found in a life that has everlasting effects.  Fishing for people, being a fisher of men, is a high calling, one he gave his disciples and one he gave to us.

One difference between fish and people, though.  Fish don’t have a way of disguising their stench.  They smell.  People can look and smell real good on the outside, but deep within, the sinfulness has a stench all its own.  So, let’s fish for smelly people who need to be cleaned.
