“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? ¹³ And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. ¹⁴ So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:12-14

Reckless Love.  It’s a song you may hear on the radio.  We at St. John (Cypress, TX) sing it on occasion during our worship services.  Reckless Love.  It also describes the man of a hundred sheep in the words of Jesus today.  In our culture, we would think someone is reckless to risk 99% of his flock just to regain 1%.  But our Heavenly Father has no limits on His love.  He doesn’t settle for ‘good enough’.  God loves us recklessly.  He loves you that much!  For that we can say, “Thanks be to God and glory be to Jesus!”
